蒲団干す未来へ旅に出るごとく しなだしん

futon hosu mirai e tabi ni deru gotoku

            drying futon

            as if making a trip

            to the future

                                                Shin Shinada

from ‘Hayabusa no Mune’(‘Falcon’s Chest’) haiku collection by Shin Shinada, Fusansu-Do, Tokyo 2011

Fay’s Note:  ‘futon hosu’ (drying (airing?) futon’ is a winter kigo.
