Today’s Haiku (February 16, 2016)

犬ふぐりさびしきときは風起こす  渡辺桂子

inufuguri sabishiki toki wa kaze okosu

              ‘dog testicle’ grass

              when it feels lonely

              it creates the wind

Fay’s Note: ‘inufuguri’ (Latin name:  veronica didyma var) is a spring kigo.  Its fruit looks like a dog’s testicle.
