僧も入りぱらぱら座る耕畝(こうほ)の忌  上野さち子

sô mo iri parapara suwaru kôho no ki

            a priest now enters

            we take seats one by one

Fay’s Note:   ‘kôho’ (literal transation:  cultivate ridge) is another name of Santoka Taneda (1882-1940).   He died on October 11, 1940.
