Today’s Haiku (September 4, 2015)

身をほそめとぶ帰燕あり月の空   川端茅舎

mi o hosome tobu kien ari tsuki no sora

there is a returning swallow

thinning itself…

Fay’s Note:  Bosha Kawabata (1900-1941)  ‘tsubame kaeru’ (a migrating swallow returns (to the south)) , ‘kien’ in the above haiku, is an autumn kigo.
