Today’s Haiku (August 13, 2015)

ほのぼのと舟押し出すや蓮の中   夏目漱石

honobono to fune oshidasu ya hasu no naka

            gently

            I push out a boat—

            amidst of lotuses

                                    Soseki Natsume

Fay’s Note:  Soseki Natsume (1867-1916) is one of the most famous Japanese novelists in the 20th century.   He started writing novels after Kyoshi Takahama encouraged him to do so.
