Today’s Haiku (May 22, 2015)

よべの雨まだ草にあり蛇苺  宮崎あき子

yobe no ame mada kusa ni ari hebiichigo

last night’s rain

still on its leaves

snake strawberry

Fay’s Note:  ‘hebiichigo’ (potentilla hebiichigo or duchesnea chrysantha) is a summer kigo.   I literally translate it ‘hebi (snake) ichigo (strawberry).’
