百年後の世をば思へと亀鳴けり  鈴木貞雄

hyakunen go no yo oba omoe to kame nakeri

            letting us think about

            the world after one hundred years

            a tortoise sings

Fay’s Note:   ‘kame naku’ (a tortoise sings) is a spring kigo, based on waka written by Fujiwarano Tameie, the 13th century poet.
